Nashville is last in the NHL in goals scored with 178 and is 4th in total penalty minutes with 687. Nashville has been playing better recently, with a 5-4-1 record in their last ten games. This is the second and final meeting between these clubs this season,n with the Predators winning the first matchup 5-2 on December 23.

Carolina returns home after a 3-1-0 road trip to face the Predators tonight in Raleigh. The Hurricanes are 27-7-1 at home and have a +41 goal differential this season. Nashville Predators

Filip Forsberg leads the Preds in scoring with 65 points (28g, 37a) in 70 games. The 30-year-old winger will be trying to extend his four-game point streak tonight versus Carolina. Forsberg has six goals and five assists in 12 games this month for Nashville as he continues to drive the offense. In the previous matchup against the Hurricanes, Forsberg had three assists in the Predators’ 5-2 victory.

Taylor Hall took some time to get acclimated in Carolina with only one point in seven games for the Hurricanes after being acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks. Since the calendar turned to March, Hall has been excellent with nine points (5g, 4a) in 11 games this month, including a hat trick in the Hurricanes’ 5-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.
