New Jersey Devils News & Notes:

The Devils will try to get back on the winning track Monday night against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Their three-game winning streak was snapped in a 7-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. The Devils enter tonight’s contest with a 19-15-2 record on the road, and New Jersey is 12-7-3 against the Metropolitan Division. The Devils have a +27 goal differential this season.

Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes:

The Blue Jackets have lost three games in a row and have fallen out of the final wild-card spot. Columbus has been outscored 13-3 during the streak and has been shut out in back-to-back contests. The only silver lining may be that the Blue Jackets are 20-8-3 at home as they try to break out of their slump and get back into playoff contention. Tonight is the third and final game between these clubs, with the teams splitting the previous two meetings.

Players To Watch:

New Jersey Devils

Jesper Bratt has three straight three-point games for the Devils as the dynamic, young forward tries to pick up the slack left by the injured Jack Hughes. Bratt leads New Jersey in scoring with 79 points (19g, 60a) in 68 games. Nico Hischier and Timo Meier have been effective in March, with both forwards scoring four goals and adding two assists in eight games this month.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Kirill Marchenko has had a breakout season for the Blue Jackets but the 24-year-old forward has struggled in March with two points in eight games this month. Adam Fantilli has continued his breakout season with four goals and two assists this month for Columbus as he has admirably tried to fill the shoes of the injured Sean Monahan.
