The Devils have won two straight games after dropping four in a row and sit in third place in the Metropolitan Division, seven points ahead of fourth-place Columbus. New Jersey is 8-5-3 within the division and is almost unbeatable when they score three or more goals, with an outstanding 28-3-3 record in those contests.

Philadelphia Flyers News & Notes:

The Flyers are 5-7-1 in the Metropolitan Division and are .500 at home with an 11-11-1 record at the Wells Fargo Center. The Flyers are still within striking distance of a playoff birth, Philadelphia is five points behind Columbus for the second Wild Card spot. Philadelphia won the first matchup between these clubs 3-1 on January 18.

New Jersey Devils

Jack Hughes has four goals and seven assists in 11 games in January, including the game-winning goal in overtime as the Devils beat the Canadiens 4-3 on January 25. Hughes leads New Jersey in scoring with 57 points (19g, 38a) in 51 games. The 23-year-old center from Orlando, Florida, is on pace for a 92-point season, a nice bounce back from his 74-point season a year ago when he played in only 62 games. Hughes was held scoreless in the first meeting against the Flyers in New Jersey.

Philadelphia Flyers

Travis Konecny leads the Flyers in scoring with 21 goals and 35 assists in 50 games. Konecny has a modest two-game point streak and has been producing for the Flyers in January with 14 points (4g, 10a) in 12 games this month. Konecny added an empty net goal in the Flyers 3-1 victory over the Devils on January 18.
