New York Islanders News & Notes:

The New York Islanders are dead last in the Metropolitan Division, and the light is farther away than it seems. While the Islanders trade rumors are few and far between because of the management group, you have to think they’re looking to make some changes to their roster.

Boston Bruins News & Notes:

The Boston Bruins are coming into this evening’s matchup 1-4 in their last five games and still haven’t worked out the kinks under interim head coach Joe Sacco. Leading into the holiday roster freeze, there was trade chatter around Trent Frederic, who had been abysmal before last night’s goal against the Maple Leafs.

Tsyplakov-Nelson-Palmieri
Cizikis-Horvat-Duclair

Boston Bruins

David Pastrnak leads the Bruins in all offensive categories and is starting to show signs of the Pastrnak that Boston fans are used to seeing.
