New York is 9-9-0 in the Metropolitan Division and are 15-13-2 at home this season. The Rangers have won three of their last four games, with the latest win a 4-0 shutout of Nashville on Sunday. The Rangers, Bruins, and Senators are all tied with 64 points, two points behind the Detroit Red Wings, who hold the final Wild Card spot. This is the third of four meetings between the Islanders and Rangers this season, with the Rangers winning the first two meetings and outscoring the Islanders by a combined 10-3.

New York Islanders

Brock Nelson could potentially be on the move as the Islanders try to plan for their future, but in the here and now, the 33-year-old center is producing. Nelson has a five-game point streak, including a three-point night (2g, 1a) in a 7-4 win over Nashville on Saturday. Nelson is third on the Islanders in scoring with 41 points (19g, 22a) in 59 games.

New York Rangers

In ten games since J.T. Miller was acquired by the Rangers, the veteran center has six goals and six assists. Miller led the way in the Rangers’ most recent victory with a goal and an assist in the 4-0 win over the Predators. The 6-foot-1, East Palestine, Ohio native will be trying to extend his point streak to six games tonight against the Islanders at MSG.
