New York Rangers News & Notes:

In a positive step, Filip Chytil traveled with the Rangers to Calgary, he’s moving closer to playing but he’s still not ready. Will Cuylle tied Artemi Panarin in 5v5 points with 13 after he notched a goal and an assist in the Rangers 4-3 win over the Canucks on Tuesday night.

Calgary Flames News & Notes:

Dustin Wolf seems to have taken over the number one goalie job as this is his sixth start in the last eight games. Wolf will be the first Calgary goalie to start three straight games after he made 57 saved on 58 shots in back-to-back wins for the Flames. Crazy stat courtesy of Pat Steinberg, the Flames are 32nd in the league with only 16.5% of time of ice spent with the lead, but Calgary is finding ways to win as they sit with a 10-6-3 record.

Players To Watch:

New York Rangers

Adam Fox has points in 4 of his last 5 games, including two multi-point games during that stretch. Fox is second on the Rangers in scoring with 15 points (all assists) in 17 games. The Jericho, New York native trails only superstar Artemi Panarin, who has 24 points, for the team lead.

Calgary Flames

Dustin Wolf has been the story in Calgary this season. The 23-year-old netminder from Tustin, California has been great all season long but especially spectacular lately: in his last five games Wolf is 4-0-1 with a 1.55 GAA and a .946 SV% with a shutout. Dan Vladar has been no slouch but Wolf has played so well that he seems to have taken over as the top goalie in Calgary.

Edmonton Oilers Playoff Thoughts: Round 2, Game 3

“Death, Taxes and you being upset with the refereeing” – Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch, a week ago. I’ve almost never talked about NHL officiating when writing my articles, because every hockey fan has the exact same feelings about them. Why bother repeating an argument that’s redundant and parodied leaguewide? In my view, we […]

2025 IIHF Worlds: Horvat Scores Twice as Canada Shuts Out Slovenia

Bo Horvat led the way with two power-play goals as Canada opened its 2025 IIHF Men’s World Championship campaign in dominant fashion, shutting out Slovenia 4-0. Supported by standout performances from Nathan MacKinnon and goaltender Dylan Garand, and fueled by three power-play goals and crisp puck movement throughout, the Canadians controlled the pace from start […]
