The Edmonton Oilers (10-9-2) will host the New York Rangers (12-5-1) tonight at 8:00 PM MT (10:00 PM ET) at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta. The Oilers last played on Thursday night, losing 5-3 to the Minnesota Wild in a game where their defense and goaltending struggled. The Rangers also played on Thursday night, narrowly losing 3-2 on the road against the Calgary Flames.

This matchup marks the first of two meetings between the Rangers and Oilers, with the second game scheduled for March 16th at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Darnell Nurse will be back in the lineup for the Oilers tonight, but defenseman Evan Bouchard is uncertain due to illness, listed as 50/50 for the game.
