New York Rangers News & Notes

New York is 1-4 in their last five games and continues struggling. They’ve recently traded their captain, Jacob Trouba, and rumors are swirling they’ll continue to make changes. Kappo Kakko was recently scratched, which led to trade speculation. Kreider’s name is still circling, and Mika Zibanejad is starting to hear some conversation. The Rangers are set to face a meager Nashville Predators team that is facing the same struggles. It’s time for New York to capitalize on a ‘should win’ game.

Nashville Predators News & Notes

Like New York, Nashville has been 1-4 in its last five games and is tied with the Chicago Blackhawks for last place in the NHL. Aside from those depressing stats, the Predators penalty-killing units are #1 in the league with an 87.5% success rate.

Players To Watch:

New York Rangers

Mika Zibanejad is one of the core players on the Rangers roster, and he’s struggling this season. While 21 points in 30 games is nothing to sneeze at, his -15 is glaring. Zibanejad needs to return to his two-way consistency to help this Rangers group get out of the funk.

Nashville Predators

Filip Forsberg currently leads the Predators in goals scored with nine. He also is second in points behind Captain Roman Josi. If the Predators are going to start putting some wins on the board, Forsberg will have to increase his scoring tempo.
