The Rangers started the first game back from the 4 Nations break, giving up five goals in the first period on the way to an 8-2 loss to the Sabres. New York is 5-5-0 in their last ten games as they try to fight their way back into the playoff conversation. The Rangers currently sit four points out of a wild-card position and will have to grab as many points as possible to make that happen.

Pittsburgh is 4-10-4 against the Metropolitan Division and is 4-5-1 in their last ten games. The Penguins are 13-11-4 at home this season as they welcome the Rangers this afternoon. This is the fourth and final meeting between the Rangers and Penguins this season with the Rangers with the Rangers taking the first two contests and the Penguins winning the last meeting 3-2 in New York.

J.T. Miller has two goals and four assists in his six games as a Ranger. Saying things didn’t work out for Miller in Vancouver would be an understatement, but now back with the Rangers, Miller seems comfortable and ready to contribute in New York.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Sidney Crosby has three goals and two assists in three games in February. Crosby leads the Penguins in scoring with 59 points (18g, 41a). In two games against the Rangers this season, the 37-year-old Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native, has zero points and is a -3.
