Ottawa Senators News & Notes:

The Senators are flirting with a Wild Card bid and are one point behind the Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers, with a game in hand. Ottawa has had some injury issues throughout the season and have managed to keep in the hunt. The team deserves additions at the deadline.

Chicago Blackhawks News & Notes:

Chicago made what I’ll assume is their biggest trade of the deadline when moving Seth Jones to the Florida Panthers for Spencer Knight. While players like Ryan Donato and Connor Murphy have been rumored to be on the market, Chicago will be looking to use their prospects and draft capital to make some long-term additions around Bedard.

Ottawa Senators Projected Lines:

Tkachuk-Stutzle-Giroux
Perron-Norris-Batherson
Greig-Pinto-Amadio
Gregor-Gaudette-Highmore

Chabot-Jensen
Sanderson-Zub
Hamonic-Matinpalo

Players To Watch:

Ottawa Senators

Brady Tkachuk has returned from his Team USA appearance at the Four Nations and has posted two goals in two games. After a slow start to the season offensively, Tkachuk producing on the scoresheet will take this Senators roster to a new level down the stretch.

Chicago Blackhawks

Spencer Knight will look to get the nod again for the Blackhawks after a stellar outing in his first appearance with the Hawks. With Knight expected to be the future goaltender, getting a heavy workload for the rest of the season will be important for his development.

D Tyler Kleven – Week-to-week

Chicago Blackhawks

G Laurent Brossoit – IR (Non-Roster)
