The Red Wings picked up their first win in the Todd McLellan era as they beat the Washington Capitals 4-2 behind a four-goal first period which snapped a four-game losing streak, they got goals from Patrick Kane, Lucas Raymond, and two goals from Alex DeBrincat; they also got a solid goaltending performance from Alex Lyon who turned aside 25 of the 27 shots he faced.
