The Penguins travel to Minnesota this afternoon at the Xcel Energy Center to try to snap a four-game losing streak. Pittsburgh is 10-18-5 on the road this season and is 2-7-1 in its last ten games. With its recent play, Pittsburgh has fallen to last place in the Metropolitan Division. Pittsburgh has an Eastern Conference worst -57 goal differential this season.

Minnesota Wild News & Notes:

The Wild traded Jakub Lauko, Marat Khusnutdinov, and a 2026 6th-round draft pick for Justin Brazeau from the Boston Bruins to add some depth scoring. Brazeau had 10 goals and 10 assists for the Bruins before the trade. Minnesota is 14-13-1 at home this season and is 5-5-0 in their last ten games. The Wild are 12-5-2 in one-goal games and currently sit in the first wild card position. This is the second and final meeting between these two clubs this season, with the Wild taking the first meeting 5-3 on October 29.

Players To Watch:

Pittsburgh Penguins

Rickard Rakell was rumored to be on the trading block before the trade deadline, but GM Kyle Dubas ultimately held onto the veteran winger. Rakell has been hot for the Penguins lately, with goals in three of his last four games. The 31-year-old winger leads Pittsburgh in goals with 29 and is second on the Penguins in scoring with 53 points in 64 games.

Minnesota Wild

Frederick Gaudreau has three points (2g, 1a) in three games in March. The Granby, Quebec native has 14 goals and 15 assists this season for the Wild. Gaudreau has been versatile for Minnesota, moving up and down the lineup as the Wild have dealt with injuries. In the previous meeting against the Penguins, Gaudreau led the Wild attack with two goals and an assist in the 5-3 victory.
