San Jose Sharks News & Notes:

After losing three straight games, the Sharks snapped their losing streak with a 6-3 win in Detroit on Tuesday night. San Jose is 6-12-5 on the road this season and has struggled when committing more penalties than their opponents, with a 5-11-1 record in those games. This is the second and final meeting between these clubs this season, with the Sharks taking the first meeting 2-1 in overtime on an outstanding individual effort by Alex Wennberg.

Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes:

If the season ended today, the Blue Jackets would be the second wild-card team. Columbus has been excellent on home ice this year with a 15-5-3 record.
