San Jose Sharks Notes:

The Sharks are rebuilding, and there was a lot of enthusiasm around the debut of No. 1 overall pick Macklin Celebrini, who had a goal and an assist in the first period before getting hurt. The Sharks will be without their young star for a while as he’s week-to-week.

Dallas Stars Notes:

Dallas has started the season with a three-game win streak and has yet to give up a goal at home (2-0-0). The Stars are a deep, complete team that looks like a team that can contend for a Stanley Cup.

San Jose Sharks Projected Lineup: (subject to change)

Kostin-W. Smith-Zetterlund

Goodrow-Wennberg-Kunin

Players To Watch:

San Jose – Mikael Granlund will be counted on to center the top line while young phenom Macklin Celebrini recovers from injury. The 32-year-old Fin has shown flashes throughout his career with 60+ points 4 times. The Sharks need Granlund to be productive as they are already short on offensive talent.

Dallas – Mason Marchment is coming off a year where he had career highs in goals (22), assists (31), and points (53) and is picking up right where he left off. The big left-winger has started this season with 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 games as he looks to top what he did a year ago.

82 games are now done and dusted. All eyes can turn to the playoffs and title defense.
