San Jose Sharks News & Notes:

The Sharks snapped a six-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday. It’s been a tough January for San Jose as they are 4-9-0 on the month, averaging 2.62 goals per game and allowing 3.85 goals per game. The one positive is Will Smith who is on a five-game point streak having recorded six points on two goals and four assists.

Seattle Kraken News & Notes: 

The Kraken suffered their second straight loss on Tuesday as they lost 6-4 to the Anaheim Ducks. The loss to the Ducks was a tough one as the Ducks have now passed them in the playoff race as both teams try to reach the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. In January now, Seattle is 5-8-1 and are averaging three goals a game while allowing an average of 3.50 goals per game.
