However, being last in the league wasn’t on the menu. For the Sharks, success this season is adding a couple of young prospects at the deadline.

The Jets recently signed Vladislav Namestnikov to a two-year contract extension. While they’ve been rumored to be on the market for a second-line center, this extension shouldn’t stop them from adding. Winnipeg has a six point lead on the second place Dallas Stars in the Central Division and are one point behind the Washington Capitals for the Presidents Trophy chase.
