Seattle Kraken News & Notes:

After an uneventful start to the season, the Seattle Kraken have gone into a sell-off mode. After acquiring two first-round picks from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Yanni Gourde and André Burakovsky. They’re also holding Brandon Tanev out for trade-related reasons.

Nashville Predators News & Notes:

Nashville has been busy on the trade front already, but has yet to move any players of significance. It may be a quieter deadline than expected in Nashville. With the talent signed long-term on this roster, it’s feasible that Barry Trotz will reload for next season.

Players To Watch:

Seattle Kraken

While the Kraken have had a down season, Matty Beniers hasn’t quite taken the step forward in production. With 33 points in 62 games, he isn’t topping the scoresheet often.

Nashville Predators

Ryan O’Reilly is being bandied about on the NHL trade market. With a drop in production on a bad Nashville lineup this season, teams are lining up to check on his availability. Most importantly, the New Jersey Devils.
