The Lightning picked up their second straight win, both over the Ottawa Senators, this one on Thursday was 5-1, and they’ve outscored the Senators 9-4 in those two games. They are 5-4-1 in their last ten, averaging 2.40 goals per game while allowing an average of 2.50 goals per game. They currently hold the third spot in the Atlantic Division and lead the Red Wings by one point.

Detroit Red Wings News & Notes:

The Red Wings picked up their seventh straight win on Tuesday with a 5-4 shootout win over the Seattle Kraken. They are averaging 3.57 goals per game over the win streak while allowing an average of 1.86 goals per game. Cam Talbot hasn’t lost since January 18th against these same Lightning but he also posted a 2-0 shutout against them on January 25th. He has been 5-0-0 since January 18th, with a 1.78 goals against average and a .944 save percentage. Elmer Soderblom is on a five-game point streak recording two goals and three assists. Jonatan Berggren is on a four-game point streak recording a goal and three assists.
