Tampa Bay Lightning News & Notes:
Tampa has lost two road games in a row to Minnesota and Winnipeg. The Wild and Jets are playing some of the best hockey in the NHL. Winnipeg looks like the early season Cup Favorite based on their 11-1-0 record. The Lightning are tied for second in the Atlantic Division with Toronto, five points behind the defending Stanley Cup Champion, and in-state rival, the Florida Panthers.
St. Louis Blues News & Notes:
St. Louis won their last game against a talented Toronto team, 4-2. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for St. Louis, but the Blues lost defenseman Philip Broberg for an extended period after he was injured when Toronto forward Mitch Marner fell on his ankle during a puck battle. This is the second game of a five-game homestand for St. Louis. The Blues are 3-2-0 at the Enterprise Center this season.
