Toronto – Auston Matthews scored 69 goals last season for the Leafs and is primed for another big year. The defense is revamped with the addition of Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
New Jersey – Jesper Bratt was one of New Jersey’s top contributors last season with 83 points. He scored 27 goals and picked up 56 assists.
Hughes had 27 goals and 47 assists for 74 points (0.9 per game).
Nico Hischier totaled 27 goals and 40 assists last season. Jacob Markstrom (23-23-2) had a goals-against average of 2.8 last season and made 1248 saves. His .905% save percentage ranked 31st in the NHL.
