Toronto Maple Leafs News & Notes:

The Maple Leafs picked up their third straight win on Thursday with a 3-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. They are looking to sweep their road trip before heading into the Four Nations break. In the first three games, they are averaging 4.33 goals per game while allowing 2.33 goals per game. Matthew Knies has been red-hot since returning to the lineup recording five points in the last three games on three goals and two assists. Auston Matthews has also recorded six assists in the last three games. The Maple Leafs also got Anthony Stolarz back on Thursday as he turned aside 26 of the 27 shots he faced in his first game since December 12th.

Vancouver Canucks News & Notes: 

The Canucks picked up a 2-1 overtime win over the San Jose Sharks on Thursday, it was their second straight win and their fifth in their last seven. They are averaging 2.86 goals per game in their last seven games while allowing 1.86 goals per game. The Canucks have moved into the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. Since acquiring Drew O’Connor he’s played in three games and has goals in back-to-back games.
