HEAD-TO-HEAD

Last Meeting:

LEAFS QUICK LOOK (40-20-9)

Leafs to Keep an Eye on:

  • TJ Brodie draws back into the lineup tonight after being a healthy scratch for the past two games. Brodie has been a solid defensive player for the Leafs in his tenure with the team but ultimately hasn’t looked as solid this season. With a couple games off to clear his head and rest look for Brodie to come out strong with a full effort tonight.
  • Tyler Bertuzzi is also drawing back into the lineup tonight after missing last nights game with some sort of illness. Bertuzzi has really been catching fire as of late and is producing offensively at a high rate. Look for Bertuzzi to ease into the game and continue his solid offensive play.
  • Joseph Woll is in his first full season with the Leafs and has had some ups and downs as is expected with a goalie in their first full year. Woll was out with a high ankle sprain and since returning has looked slightly more shaky than normal. Due to this and Samsonov’s solid play, the crease has gone to Samsonov more often. Woll gets the start here on the second half of a back-to-back so look for him to stay calm and play a steady controlled game tonight.

Vancouver Canucks Split The Alberta Teams; Other News & Notes

Both Alberta teams breezed through town in the past few days. The Oilers, last Saturday, was much more like a hurricane as they trounced the Canucks 7-3.
