HEAD-TO-HEAD

The Leafs and Avalanche last faced off January 13th of this year. The Avalanche came out on top with a 5-3 victory. The Avalanche have been a solid team for many seasons now so the Leafs will have to have a strong effort tonight.

LEAFS QUICK LOOK (32-16-8)

Leafs to Keep an Eye on:

  • Ilya Samsonov is back in the net tonight after resting last game on the second half of a back-to-back. Samsonov has also found his game as of late and has helped contribute to the Leafs success. It looks like Woll will be back with the Leafs in the next week, so Samsonov will have further competition for the net.
  • Nick Robertson seemed on the way out, but has really found his game as of late reigniting the Leafs third line. The dangerous winger has a solid shot and looks to play hard on both sides of the ice.
  • Mitch Marner has been on a heater as of late, scoring 6 multiple point games in a row. Marner had a slow start this season but has picked up the pace in the second half of the year. Look for Marner to have another solid game tonight.
