Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:
The Winnipeg Jets continue to suffer from the injury bug with Gabriel Vilardi and Neal Pionk still week-to-week while Rasmus Kupari is listed as day-to-day. Players To Watch:
Vancouver Canucks
Jake DeBrusk is red hot right now. He’s on a four-game point streak and has a point in seven of his last 10 games. DeBrusk will look to extend his current scoring streak and add to his successful run over the past few weeks.
The former Winnipeg Jet defender Tyler Myers has made a handful of returns to Winnipeg and each time that he does, he seems to have a good game for the Canucks. Myers will also look to extend his point streak to two games tonight in Winnipeg.
Winnipeg Jets
After David Gustafsson returned to the Winnipeg Jets lineup, he scored on his first shift and shot against New Jersey. The Jets have had spread-out scoring thanks to players like Gustafsson and Alex Iafallo. Gustafsson will look to keep his name on the scoresheet against Vancouver to keep himself on the Jets’ radar.
Mark Scheifele snapped a nine-game scoring drought against New Jersey and has extended his point streak to four games. Scheifele has been a driving factor in the Jets’ play lately, and he will look to continue that against Vancouver.
Nikolaj Ehlers enters today’s game with a five-game point streak. The red hot Jets forward has been a constant for the team on the ice and will continue to play his style against Vancouver.
