Vegas has lost two straight games and will try to snap their losing streak tonight in Columbus against the Blue Jackets. The Golden Knights are 7-2-1 in their last ten games and are 14-12-4 on the road. Vegas is sixth in the NHL in goal scoring with 214 goals on the season.

Columbus Blue Jackets News & Notes: 

The Blue Jackets have lost three of their last four games and will try to get back on the right track tonight. Columbus is 20-6-4 at home and will need to play well tonight as they’re clinging to the final Wild Card spot with 70 points. There are three teams right behind them in the standings with 68 points, so every game will be important down the stretch. This is the second and final meeting between these clubs this season, with Columbus winning the first matchup 2-1 in a shootout on January 30 in Vegas.

Vegas Golden Knights

Jack Eichel will try to extend his point streak to seven games against the Blue Jackets tonight in Columbus. The North Chelmsford, Massachusetts native has eight points (1g, 7a) in five games in March and three multi-point games over that span. Eichel leads the Golden Knights in scoring with 78 points (20g, 58a) which is eighth best in the NHL.

Columbus Blue Jackets 

Zach Werenski is one of the favorites this season for the Norris Trophy with 69 points (20g, 49a) and a +12 rating, the Grosse Pointe, Michigan native has been one the best defensemen in the NHL all season long. The 6-foot-2 blueliner leads all defensemen with 14 even-strength goals, and time on ice with almost 27 minutes a game (26:55). Werenski has already set career highs in assists with 49, and points with 69, and needs one more goal to eclipse his career high of 20 set in the 2019-2020 season.
