Vegas Golden Knights News & Notes:

Vegas stopped a short two-game skid with a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night. Pavel Dorofeyev scored the eventual game-winner early in the 3rd period as the Golden Knights held on for the win. Vegas is first in the Pacific Division, one point better than the second-place Kings, but the Golden Knights have two games in hand. Vegas is only 2-3-2 away from “The Fortress” this season.

Utah Hockey Club News & Notes:

Utah is 5th in the Central Division, but they have been impressive at home this season with a 4-2-1 record. Utah had an outstanding 4-1 win over an excellent Carolina Hurricanes team in their first game back at the Delta Center after a long road trip. Utah fans received some pleasant news as it was announced that Utah Hockey Club Jerseys would be available for sale. The jerseys were not expected to be ready for quite some time.

Players To Watch:

Vegas Golden Knights

Jack Eichel is tied for 3rd in the NHL in scoring with 25 points (5g, 20a) in 16 games. Eichel is on pace for a 26-goal 103 assist season, which would eclipse his previous career high in points (82) which he set with the Buffalo Sabres in the 2018-19 season.

Utah Hockey Club

Nick Bjugstad scored his first two goals of the season in the Hockey Club’s 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Bjugstad had missed the first 8 games of the season with an injury. The 6-foot-6 center from Blaine, Minnesota is looking to build off his 22-goal, 23-assist season from a year ago. Utah could certainly use some additional scoring punch as they’re 24th in the league in goals scored.

Edmonton Oilers Playoff Thoughts: Round 2, Game 3

“Death, Taxes and you being upset with the refereeing” – Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch, a week ago. I’ve almost never talked about NHL officiating when writing my articles, because every hockey fan has the exact same feelings about them. Why bother repeating an argument that’s redundant and parodied leaguewide? In my view, we […]

New Jersey Devils Offseason Needs Are Clear Following Playoff Exit

However, their first-half success quickly petered out, and they had fallen […]
