The entire line of Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele, and Gabe Vilardi have been on another planet this season. Connor leads the Jets in scoring with 66 points (30g, 36a), Scheifele leads Winnipeg in goals with 31 and is second in points with 59, and finally, Vilardi has been a tremendous compliment to Connor and Scheifele with 22 goals and 27 assists for 49 points, including a team-leading 11 powerplay goals.

It’s unfair to players having career years for the Capitals that Alex Ovechkin gets a lot, or most, of the headlines but when he’s going to break Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goal-scoring record those headlines are deserved.
