Poulin has played in 139 games in the AHL, all with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He has tallied 39 goals and 42 assists. In the 2023-2024 season, Poulin was responsible for four game-winning goals throughout the entirety of the season. He has gone on two post-season runs with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and played in eight games. He tallied three goals and two assists. Poulin has played in six NHL games and gathered one assist.

In December 2022, Poulin took a break from hockey to focus on his mental health and returned to play in March 2023.

Prior to becoming professional, Poulin played four seasons in the QMJHL for the Sherbrooke Phoenix and Val-d’Or Foreurs. He played 173 games for Sherbrooke, tallied 80 goals with 124 assists, and served one season as Assistant Captain and two seasons as Captain. He was traded to Val-d’Or Foreurs and played in 19 games with eight goals and 17 assists.

Poulin is a player with a two-way instinct. He has leadership qualities and competes hard when he is playing. You notice him missing when he is not in the lineup.
