Dallas Stars News & Notes:

Dallas rebounded from their 4-0 loss in game two with a 5-2 win in game three over the Winnipeg Jets. The Stars were at the centre of controversy in game three as Alex Petrovic scored the game-winning goal with what looked like a kicking motion. The Stars will look to push the Jets to the brink in game four by taking a 3-1 series lead into Winnipeg Thursday night.

Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:

Coming off a 5-2 loss to the Dallas Stars, the Winnipeg Jets look to regroup tonight with a rounded effort at American Airlines Center. The Jets were on the opposite end of a controversial goal as Alex Petrovic’s game-winning marker put the final nail in the coffin in game three.

If the Jets can get away from their playoff road game woes, they could head back home to the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg with added confidence with a tied series.

Players To Watch:

Dallas Stars

Wyatt Johnston scored just one goal in game three, and it looks like he could have a big playoff-defining game given more time to shine. If Johnston gets going, he could be the Stars’ best chance at taking a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Mikko Rantanen has been a monster for the Stars’ 2025 Stanley Cup Playoff run, and it looks like he could be hard to stop. If he can continue his production from games one and three, it could push the Stars into a 3-1 series lead heading into Winnipeg.

Thomas Harley was a massive part of the Stars’ games one and three wins, but he excelled in game three mostly. Like Johnston and Rantanen, Harley could be a big factor in the Stars’ push for a 3-1 series lead heading into game five in Winnipeg Thursday night.

Winnipeg Jets

Mark Scheifele can lead the way in game four for the Jets’ pushback, and the team needs it. Scheifele has scored in big moments for Winnipeg, and he’s scored lots so far. If Scheifele can get his scoring touch all over game four, the Jets have a great chance at tying up the series heading back into Winnipeg.

Adam Lowry has some big goals under his belt in the Jets’ 2025 Stanley Cup Playoff run, but it’s the captaincy that he wears on his jersey that matters the most in a do-or-die game four. While Lowry’s scoring is a great thing, his on-ice leadership must be on full display as the Jets look to bring a tied series back to Winnipeg for game five on Thursday night.

Dylan Samberg was a monster when it came to controlling zone entries, and he still is, but it isn’t as noticeable. The emergence of Haydn Fleury is great, but it’s time for Dylan Samberg to have a pivotal game that pushes the Jets to new heights, with the series shifting back to Winnipeg for game five Thursday night, either tied 2-2 or down 3-1.
