Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:

The Winnipeg Jets have suffered a massive blow to the team as Mark Scheifele was injured in game five and will not play game six in St. Louis. The Jets’ first-line centre was a massive part of their early success and played a pivotal role in the team’s overall performance.

Nikolaj Ehlers has begun skating in a non-contact jersey and is travelling with the Winnipeg Jets ahead of game six. While he has not been officially upgraded to day-to-day, Scott Arniel didn’t feed into many questions regarding Ehlers’ status.

Players To Watch:

St. Louis Blues

Cam Fowler has been the complete package for the St. Louis Blues all series. He leads the team with nine points (1G, 8A) so far and has been a defensive monster throughout the entire series.

Pavel Buchnevich, like Fowler, has been a monster in the series for the Blues. While his only goal-scoring tirade came in the form of a hat trick, he’s still produced well and has stood up for his teammates.

Jordan Binnington has the chance to steal a massive game for the Blues, and having the game on home ice might mean a little more to the Blues’ netminder, who wants to perform in a big game and keep his team in the series

Winnipeg Jets

Kyle Connor has been the Jets’ it factor throughout the entire series. He’s scored eight points (4G, 4A) and consistently shows up night in and night out and can put the finishing touches on the Blues’ series.

Gabriel Vilardi is entering his second game against the Blues in this series, but his impact in his first (game five) was significant. He played like he never missed a beat, giving the Jets a chance to spread out their scoring threats beyond Connor and Scheifele.

Cole Perfetti has had a ton of misses in the first five games of this series, and he’s due for either a big game or his signature Cole Perfetti moment. The Jets will be looking for this when it comes to what the young forward can do to impact the team in game six.

Connor Hellebuyck is looking to put his mark and seal the deal for the Winnipeg Jets in round one of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. If Hellebuyck posts up big, the Jets are in a great position from the Vezina and Hart Trophy finalist in game six.

D Torey Krug – LTIR – Ankle

Winnipeg Jets

C Mark Scheifele – Out, Day-to-Day
RW Nikolaj Ehlers – Out, Foot, Week-to-Week
