Noah Juulsen Is Done for the Season

The Vancouver Canucks moved back into the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference behind a 3-2 overtime win over the Los Angeles Kings. They will play tonight against the Anaheim Ducks in Anaheim looking to build up their lead. Today news came out that defenseman Noah Juulsen is done with the surgery. Juulsen will have surgery this week on his hernia. The Canucks saw Quinn Hughes return last night. With this news, they also may hold on to Carson Soucy who they reportedly were listening to offers for. They do have depth with Hughes, Soucy, Filip Hronek, Marcus Pettersson, Tyler Myers, Elias Nils Pettersson, and Derek Forbort. Juulsen hasn’t played since February 2nd.

Noah Juulsen

The Montreal Canadiens draft Juulsen 26th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He spent his first two seasons in Montreal. Juulsen played in 44 games recording eight points on two goals and six assists. He was a plus-six and had 73 blocked shots and 118 hits. Juulsen then spent one season in Florida playing in four games, he failed to record a point. He was a minus-three, he had four blocked shots and nine hits.

He’s spent the last four seasons with Vancouver appearing in 109 games recording nine points on a goal and eight assists. He is a -16, has 172 blocked shots, and 328 hits. In his career in 157 games, he has 17 points on three goals and 14 assists. He’s a career -13, has 249 blocked shots and 455 hits. This season in 35 games he’s been held pointless. He’s a -12, has 60 blocked shots, and 101 hits.
