Ottawa Senators Acquire Fabian Zetterlund from the San Jose Sharks

The Ottawa Senators have had a big day already acquiring Dylan Cozens from the Buffalo Sabres along with defenseman Dennis Gilbert. Now they’ve acquired forward Fabian Zetterlund from the San Jose Sharks along with Tristen Robins, and a fourth-round pick in exchange for forward Zack Ostapchuk, Noah Gregor, and a 2025 second-round pick. The Sharks have already moved Nico Sturm, Vitek Vanecek, Luke Kunin, and Jake Walman in the last few days.

Fabian Zetterlund

Zetterlund is in his fourth season. The New Jersey Devils acquired him 63rd overall in the 2017 draft. In two seasons with New Jersey, he played in 59 games recording 28 points on nine goals and 19 assists. He was a plus-nine with three power-play points one of those was on a goal, he also had a 44.4 faceoff percentage. He’s been with the Sharks for the last three seasons playing in 168 games recording 83 points on 41 goals and 42 assists. He is a -36 with 22 power-play points with ten of those coming on goals, he also has a 43.1 faceoff percentage. This season in 64 games he has 36 points on 17 goals and 19 assists. He is a plus-eight, with six power-play points with four of those coming on goals, he also has a 60.0 faceoff percentage.

Tristen Robins

Robins in the AHL this season has 18 points in 41 games on seven goals and 11 assists. In the last three seasons in the AHL, he has 74 points in 147 games, he has 31 goals and 43 assists.

Noah Gregor

Gregor returns to where his career started. In four seasons with the Sharks, he had 51 points in 178 games. He recorded 26 goals and 25 assists. This season in 40 games he has six points on four goals and two assists.

Zack Ostapchuk

Ostapchuk has played in 50 games over the last two seasons recording four points on a goal and three assists. He is a minus-eight, with 17 blocked shots, and 99 hits. This season in 43 games he has four points on a goal and three assists. He is a minus-seven with 11 blocked shots and 86 hits.
