
The Philadelphia Flyers finished the 2024-25 season with a 33-39-10 record, finishing in last place in the Metropolitan Division. It was the Flyers’ fifth straight season missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Today, they added Trevor Zegras as they acquired the six-foot forward from the Anaheim Ducks. The Flyers are sending forward Ryan Poehling, the 45th overall pick this season and a 2026 fourth-round pick, to the Ducks. The Flyers hold onto the sixth overall pick in this season’s draft. Zegras in 57 games this season, had 32 points on 12 goals and 20 assists. He was a minus-eight with four power-play points. Zegras’ name had been brought up at the trade deadline, but nothing happened, and now the forward is on the move.

Trevor Zegras
Zegras finished his fifth season with the team that drafted him ninth overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. In 268 games, he had 186 points on 67 goals and 119 assists. He was a -48 with 39 power-play points. Trevor Zegras finished second in the Calder Memorial Trophy voting in 2021-22, losing out to Moritz Seider from the Detroit Red Wings.
Ryan Poehling
Poehling, in 68 games this season with the Flyers, had 31 points on 12 goals and 19 assists. He was a minus-four with three power-play goals. This season was his sixth season in the NHL, and the Flyers are his third team, having played for the Montreal Canadiens and Pittsburgh Penguins previously. In 283 career games, he has 95 points on 43 goals and 52 assists. He’s a -39 with seven power-play points.
