JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Wednesday night, the Jacksonville Icemen played host to the Adirondack Thunder for the only matchup this season and for the first time since March 2023, when the teams played back-to-back games in Jacksonville.

The Icemen took a dominating 5-0 victory, with Matt Vernon earning his first shutout of the season, stopping all 30 shots. With his goal during the first period, Jacksonville’s Captain, Christopher Brown, became the Icemen’s all-time leading goal scorer in franchise history, with 68 goals. Goals also came from Brody Crane, who scored in the first period, and Ivan Chukarov and Ty Cheveldayoff, who both scored in the second period. Cheveldayoff’s goal and a third-period goal from Garrett Van Wyhe would both be short-handed goals.
