PORTLAND, Maine. – The Adirondack Thunder erased a two-goal deficit by putting up four unanswered goals on Saturday, securing a 4-3 win over the Maine Mariners. Adirondack’s first goal of the game came at 2:37 in the second period from Kaleb Ergang, who snuck a slap shot by the glove side of Maine’s goaltender Brad Arvanitis. The Thunder went on to score three goals on three power plays.

Robert Cronin, recently signed from the University of New Hampshire, scored with less than 10 minutes remaining in the third period to put Maine in striking distance of Adirondack. However, the Mariners could not find the back of the net again and fell 4-3 to the Thunder. Thunder’s net-minder Henry Welsch faced a few high-danger attempts on the final minutes of the game but managed to stop a total of 27 of 30 shots, securing his first professional win with The Adirondack Thunder.
