
WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Railers hosted the Adirondack Thunder on Saturday evening at the DCU Center for the first of two games on the weekend. Coming off a 5-4 win over the Thunder in Glens Falls on Friday night, the Railers would keep their momentum rolling posting a 3-2 win, in a tightly played game before a crowd of just over 5000 fans in the building.
Worcester would score first on a goal by Justin Gill, just 2:38 into the first period. In the second period the Railers would push the lead to 2-0 on a goal by Tanner Schachle, 4:45 into the frame. Adirondack would score the next two goals to tie the game at 2-2, Ian Pierce getting his first professional goal coming at 9:17, and Kaleb Ergang would tie the game with 10 seconds remaining in the second period. In the third period Worcester’s Tyler Kobryn would be the hero getting the game winner with 5:23 remaining in regulation, and earning first star of the game. Michael Bullion in net for the Railers would pick up the win with 22 saves, and Adirondack goaltender Henry Welsch would have 30 saves on 33 shots by Worcester.
