NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Nashville Predators looked to end their three-game losing streak Thursday night but came up short in a 4-1 loss to the Anaheim Ducks at Bridgestone Arena.
Nashville started strong, generating chances early. They got their first power play at 6:18 of the opening period and quickly took advantage. Steven Stamkos blasted a one-timer from the left circle off a pass from Filip Forsberg, putting the Predators up 1-0.
The lead didn’t last. At 7:29 of the second period, Anaheim’s Jackson LaCombe tied the game. The Ducks took control from there, adding goals from Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras to carry a 3-1 lead into the second intermission.
The Predators pressed in the third, firing 15 shots on goal, but Anaheim goaltender John Gibson turned away every attempt. The Ducks capped off the win with an empty-net goal, handing Nashville its fourth straight loss.
