JACKSONVILLE, Fla—During the 2023-24 season, the Jacksonville Icemen reached the Kelly Cup playoffs for the third consecutive year but were knocked out in game 7 of round one by the eventual Kelly Cup champions, the Florida Everblades. In their seventh season in Jacksonville, the Icemen had the highest average attendance in the ECHL, with an average of 8,768 fans per game. They finished second in the league in goals-against, allowing only 195 goals and were also the least penalized team during the season.

Jacksonville will open the 2024-25 season against the Florida Everblades on Saturday October 19th at the Vystar Arena, under new head coach Brandon Mashinter who was promoted from the assistant coach position after Nick Luukko joined the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins as their assistant coach.
