JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Icemen Lizard Kings faced the visiting Atlanta Gladiators Friday night for their annual throwback Lizard King weekend. The Lizard Kings played in Jacksonville from 1995-2000, so for the weekend, the Icemen changed their name to the Jacksonville Lizard Kings. The announcers, rosters, scoreboards, and jerseys were all Lizard Kings-themed, along with nineties music played during the stoppages in play and intermissions. The Lizard Kings took a 4-1 victory over Atlanta.

Chris Grando scored two goals during the first period and had an assist in the second to continue his hot streak after having a hat trick during Wednesday night’s game against Greenville. Easton Armstrong scored the lone goal for Atlanta in between the two Grando goals. Garrett Van Wyhe scored during the second period and Christopher Brown in the third.
