KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hosted the Birmingham Bulls at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum on Saturday night.

To keep their playoff hopes alive, the Knoxville Ice Bears went into this game needing to walk away with the win. The Bulls started the scoring early and never let up. Knoxville were able to score three times in the third period, but those efforts were not enough to overcome the eight goal lead that the Bulls had built. The Ice Bears moved their losing streak to 6 games and have officially been eliminated from playoff contention for the first time in franchise history. The Knoxville Ice Bears fell 9-3 to the Birmingham Bulls.
