DULUTH, Ga. – Friday night brought the Bloomington Bison to Gas South Arena for the first time to face off against the Atlanta Gladiators in a three-game series. In addition to having a new opponent in town, the Gladiators also donned specialty “Stick It To Cancer” jerseys that were designed with their fans in mind. The first period remained scoreless, as neither team was able to get the puck past Atlanta goaltender Drew DeRidder or Bloomington goaltender Yaniv Perets. However, only four minutes into the second period, Gavin Gould would open the scoring for the Bison and start the downhill slide for the Gladiators. Despite having 33 shots on goal, the Gladiators were unable to get the puck in the net and were shutout by Bloomington by a score of 5-0.
