Cory Rokes for Inside the Rink

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – The Charlotte Checkers defeated the Milwaukee Admirals in overtime on Saturday night, winning 4-3. The hard-hitting game started with an Admirals goal within 30 seconds from Anders Bjork. This prompted the Teddy Bear Toss at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. Fans donated over 3,000 teddy bears by tossing them onto the ice.
The Admirals scored again, this time from Luke Prokop, the first of his AHL Career. The Checkers answered with goals from Oliver Okuiliar and Riley Hughes. The Admirals pulled ahead once more with a goal from Ozzy Wiesblatt. Kyle Criscuolo tied the game up for the Checkers, prompting the game to go into overtime. At 3:22, Michael Benning scored the game-winning OT goal.
Checkers goaltender Chris Driedger had 13 saves, while Admirals Magnus Chrona stopped 32 shots.
