
ROCKFORD, Ill. – Friday night, the Rockford IceHogs faced off against the Chicago Wolves for the second game of the Calder Cup Playoffs.
Joey Anderson would open the scoring for the IceHogs, along with Kevin Korchinski, who scored to give the IceHogs a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period. Gerry Mayhew would add another goal in the second period to give the IceHogs a 3-0 lead. Mayhew would score his second of the game during the third period and Aku Raty would add another goal for a 5-0 shutout victory.Drew Commesso stopped all 34 shots on goal for the shutout.
The IceHogs will move on to face the Milwaukee Admirals in the next round of the playoffs.
