Cedar Park, Texas – Friday night, the visiting Chicago Wolves defeated the Texas Stars 5-4 in overtime.

Justin Robidas recorded two goals, including the game-winning overtime goal and two assists in the Wolves victory.

The Stars hosted their annual Teddy Bear Toss night, and Matej Blümel would not make the fans wait long, as he would beat Wolves goaltender Spencer Martin with a wrist shot high blocker side, 7 minutes into the first period, sending nearly 3,000 teddy bears flying to the ice.

Chicago answered back with two power play goals from Juha Jaaska and Domenick Fensore, giving the Wolves a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

The Stars tied the game 3 minutes into the second period with a power play goal from Justin Hryckowian. Hryckowian tallied his second goal of the night a few minutes later with a one timer from the high slot that beat Martin, high glove side, giving the Stars a 3-2 lead.

Robidas tallied his second goal of the night when he redirected a shot from Joakim Ryan past Magnus Hellberg, tying the game 3-3.

Blümel regained the lead for the Stars with his second goal of the night when he received a pass from Jack Becker at the top of the goal crease and put a backhand shot past Martin, giving the Stars a 4-3 lead going into the second intermission.

In the third period, Josiah Slavin tied the game 4-4 when he redirected a shot from Fensore past Hellberg. The game would go to overtime despite Chicago outshooting the Stars 14-6 in the period.

In overtime, Robidas netted his second and game-winning goal of the night, when he beat Hellberg, high blocker side on a two-on-one rush.
