LAVAL, QC. – The Laval Rocket took a 4-1 victory over the Cleveland Monsters on Tuesday at Place Bell, securing a 3-1 series win and advancing to the next round of the Calder Cup Playoffs.

From the drop of the puck, Laval dominated, jumping to a 3–0 lead in the first period thanks to goals from Xavier Simoneau, Laurent Dauphin, and Logan Mailloux where the last two where on the power play.

Dauphin later added another on the man advantage in the third, while Alex Barré-Boulet picked up three assists in a standout performance. In net, Jacob Fowler was solid, turning aside 18 shots in his return in front of the net after sitting on the sidelines in Game 3. The Rocket’s defense kept the Monsters quiet all night, limiting them to just 19 shots total.
