KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hosted the Evansville Thunderbolts on Friday night, with theIce Bears were still looking for a win to break their nine game losing streak.

The first period was back and forth with both teams unable to score. Rex Moe got Knoxville on the board first in the second period. Evansville’s Vadim Vasjonkin tied the game with a goal early in the third period. Both teams had chances in overtime, but were unable to to score, sending the game into a shoot out. Evansville goalie, Cole Ceci, shut the Ice Bears out in the shoot out giving the Thunderbolts the 2-1 win.
