KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hosted the Evansville Thunderbolts for their annual teddy bear toss on Friday night.
The Ice Bears were looking for their first home win of the season. The teams went back and forth in a scoreless first period.
In the second period, Knoxville’s Brady Fleurent put the Ice Bears ahead by one, sending the teddy bears flying in from the stands. Fleurent’s second period goal was the only goal in the game as Kristian Stead shut out the Thunderbolts, stopping all 25 shots that he faced.
The Knoxville Ice Bears defeated the Evansville Thunderbolts 1-0.
