
JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Game 2 of the South Division Semifinals between the Jacksonville Icemen and Florida Everblades took place Sunday afternoon. The Florida Everblades won 2-1 in overtime to even up the best-of-seven series with one win apiece.
After a scoreless first period, Derek Lodermeier scored a powerplay goal at 12:59 of the second, hammering the puck past Cam Johnson on a crisp pass from Christopher Brown. The lead was short-lived, as Florida would answer back less than two minutes later with a goal by Sean Josling. The third period was goalless, sending the game to OT1, where Matt Wedmen scored the game winning goal for Florida at 8:24. The series now moves to Estero, where the teams will next face each other this coming Wednesday, April 24th, at 7:30 p.m.
