SAVANNAH, Ga. – On Sunday, the Savannah Ghost Pirates squared off against the Florida Everblades, eager to bounce back after their defeat the previous day. Unfortunately for the Pirates, a comeback was not in the cards. The Everblades not only dominated the scoreboard with a commanding 6-0 victory but also overpowered the Ghost Pirates physically, employing aggressive body-checking tactics throughout the game. As the game wore on, tensions escalated. Nine minutes into the third period, Devon Paliani had seen enough of the relentless physical play. In response, he dropped the gloves with Craig Needham, standing up for his team in a heated bout. Though the Ghost Pirates faced a tough loss, the spirited defense from players like Paliani highlighted their resilience.
