Donald Carlson for Inside The Rink
ROCKFORD, Ill. – Saturday night at the BMO Center, the Rockford IceHogs faced off against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Joey Anderson scored the only goal in the first period to give the IceHogs a 1-0 lead. Shai Buium and Nate Danielson both scored to give the Griffins a 2-1 lead during the second period, and Austin Watson would add one more goal in the third to give the Griffins a 3-1 victory. Jan Bednar stopped 14 of 15 shots for his first victory in his first AHL start.
